About 40 years ago, Karl Krøyer invented the airlaid technique, which in plain language is to: produce paper by means of air instead of water. This unique process adds numerous beneficial features by for instance providing absorbing quality etc. as well as being very environmentally benign.
Since the yearly development of the airlaid technique, the use of it has increased extensively. The machines are now produced and assembled in Denmark whereas the products are manufactured in different countries around the world.
